Shoe Tree on 395N between Susanville and Alturas.
Highlight 3, HW 70 South to HW 20. Dramatic sheer mountains following the Feather River Canyon. A must see. There was a long tunnel at one point with no lights inside, pitch black. Pretty sure I squealed with glee. Looking forward to going back here.
Highlight 2, HW 139 South to Almanor. This was a very pretty ride following a brimming river through low rolling mountains. Lots of medows and aspin. A very fast road with little traffic.
Highlight 1, the HW 120 loop. Amazing and super fun. Great visibility around long sweeping corners, lots of rollercoaster dips, red blufs, snow caps, high desert trees. Fantastic. Only drawback is that the low air densitiy at 8k feet robbed my poor moto of about half of its power. I adjusted the air mixtures screws on the carbs at the summit, but it didn’t help much.
The entire route. Chuck, Ryan and myself on the first leg to San Louis Obispo. Ryan and myself to Reno. Solo to Alturas, Almanor and back to SF.

At another xroads. Want to do hw 20 by clearlake, but my butt isn’t on board. ?? May just hw 5 & get home..
